Small Church Christmas Concert

Last weekend our choir performed in Vasakyrkan. For all intents and purposes it was a general rehearsal before our major Christmas concert in Betlehemskyrkan on Thursday, and before our Choir-trip to Vilnius, Lithuania. We performed without a band or sound equipment, and the size of the choir was only about a third of what it will be in Karlstad and Vilnius, but we had a a great time, as did the audience.

Praise & Worship @ Next Generation, Springfield

Springfield, Massachusetts. Enjoy excerpts from a praise & worship session led by Dan Hegelund @ Next Generation Church. This was during a ministry trip in which Dan visited Springfield, Boston, and New York. 29th October-10th November 2011.

“Next Generation Church in Springfield has a special place in my heart, as does pastor Vadim Privedenyuk and the pastoral team there. We had a wonderful time of worshipping the Lord, and it was an honor to minister with such a talented worship team.” – Dan Hegelund

Worshipnotes #2

Jesus said: “If you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice’, you would not have condemned the guiltless” (Math 12:7).

Another place He, as the divine Word, says: “So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” (Jam 2:12-13).

As ministers of praise and worship our mouths should be used to speak life, peace and blessings, as we have been given the ministry of reconciliation (2.Cor 5:19).

Worshipnotes #1

When we look at Mary and Martha we see how Martha mistakenly thought that God is looking first at what we do outwardly “…Martha was distracted with much serving” (Luke 10:40). Jesus, however, looked through the much ‘serving’ and declared that: “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things” (Luke 10:41). Mary, too, was probably worried and troubled about things, but she knew that she belonged at Jesus feet. Here all her worries would be lifted off her. Mary chose the right thing: “One thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:42).
